Swiss-Belhotel Balikpapan

Nothing much really

Water power in the shower was so so low it’s not even funny!Breakfast while have a wide variety the taste and quality isn’t geeat

Location is on the city center

Smell of the cigarettes. The lobby and lift area are stank. The bed makes crank noises and pillow is flat

Location. Sea view. Clean

Location great, Large size rooms, and friendly staff

The shower areas could do with a very good clean with bleach, they made the stay unpleasant.

The ocean view, polite staff, breakfast selection was great

The kids pools was a bit unclean

Shower not working. Towels brown in Colour and badly worn out. Bedsheets also old and disclosured.

Overall not happy with the amenities.

Location

Room comforts have declined. Pillows etc need to be replaced. Non smoking room but cigarette odour still strong. Breakfast standards have also dropped

Located close to the shopping centre

CleanlinessBuilding and facilities are not well-keptAir conditioner was not working properly. It blew hot air and dusty. No proper ventilation in the bedroom.

close to bandara

i want a non smoking room but actually i got smoking room... i hate smoking room

The breakfast was terrific with a good mix of local and international food. and many types of chilli. There is a mall 10 mins walking distance away.

Had to request clean sheets as they were not clean . They did not provide water and we had to pay £8 for 4 small waters - had to buy from bar so they added tax and service

Expensive water, and unclean sheets

The breakfast was good and the staff is very welcoming and helpful

The hygiene of the hotel is the main concern. The towel wasn’t always clean (I stayed for 7 days). Some are smelly with stain. The toilet wasn’t clean as well, especially the bath area, the floor was slippery. Furthermore, I saw cockroaches in the room ☹️Also, the room lighting was too dim for all of us (we booked 3 rooms). Not suitable for working trip, where we need to work on laptops.

Located at a strategic place.

Very uncomfortable beds, Worn out towelsThe hotel doesn't provide hand towels and moisturizer. For everything, you need to go through operator or reception Housekeeping staff doesn't respond.

Good lay for the breakfast. The staff, especially the Restaurant Manager is very polite and helps you.

The Airconditioning in the Rooms needs to be improved. Practically the Aircon of the Rooms 615 & 619 were not at all effective.

Location is perfect and near shopping mall. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Thank you to Ms. Louise for helping us for last minute table reservation. Breakfast and food in the restaurant was very nice.

Waiting for the lift.

New toilet n bathroom clean, staff are nice n welcome, breakfast is good and many variety, overal good stay

The entrance Small liftsDerelict buildings for viewPoor lighting in roomsLocation and access Tired building and surrounding location.Mall next door virtually closed down

the room was clean, and as it appeared in the pictures .

The staff were friendly, but they could not answer any of my questions, eg where to go for dinner, where to purchase certain items. The bar was empty and they did not have any gin, although 4-5 types were on the menu..The pool bar was not open. Many of the signs in the hotel advertised various services and food, but they were not available. The hotel is above and across from shopping malls that are mostly empty.

Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice from traditional to western. My kids loved the menu. Room was comfy and clean, staff were plenty friendly and helpful. In addition to the swimming pool, the hotel had a choice of badminton court, table tennis and a play area too, all of which could keep your family busy. My kid especially loved it that he got to learn to play table tennis.

I think the swimming pool could use a little heating. The water was too cold for my kid. I observed people didn't stay long at the pool, probably because of this. Also, the rooms had balcony - parents would probably need to ask for the key specifically if they didn't want the kids to wonder off while unattended. Elevator broke down during out stay, so there was always a queue, which was inconvenient.
